What Is Fluid?
Fluid is the local church youth ministry of Calvary Church.
What Happens At Fluid?
Fluid is designed to be a safe place for you to come and
enjoy the very best worship services and time to hang out
with your friends - and meet some new ones. Fluid
features video games, foosball, iPod listening stations,
and a full service cafe to satisfy your hunger.
What Time Does Fluid Start?
The doors open each Wednesday night at 6.15pm. That
gives you plenty of time to hang out, grab something to eat, play some games or whatever before the service starts at 7pm. Fluid ends by 8.15 and the facility stays open until 9 PM.
Can I Show Up Late Or Leave Early?
If you want to come, we want you to be here. But, we have a few guidelines that help us take good care of our guests each week. Each Wednesday, our services start at 7:00pm, so we ask that you show up by 7:15pm or you will miss too much. We also ask that you do not plan on leaving until service ends at 8:15pm.
How Old Is "Too Old" And How Young Is "Too Young?"
Fluid is a place created specifically for teenagers, so you need to be a teenager. If you are not yet 13, or in 7th grade, sorry you'll have to wait. But don't worry; we're not going anywhere, and we are only gonna get better. So relax, we will see you soon! If you're 19, or out of High School, the time has come for us to part ways. Unless, of course, you would like to serve as an intern. If that's the case let Pastor Troy know or stop by the Where It’s At Center and we'll point you in the right direction.
Can Parents Come?
We have designed Fluid to be a place specifically for teenagers, but we want parents to feel welcome to see what their kids are enjoying. We have created an open door policy for parents and you may see some of them wandering around from time to time. So, you had better be on your best behavior just in case the next ones you see are yours!
Do I Need To Bring Money?
The only thing that costs money at Fluid is the food. All of the video games, IPods and everything else is free. So if your stomach talking to you, bring a little bit of money so you can talk back. Otherwise, relax... it's on the house.
